Passport

Before You Go

Money: Call your bank to let them know you are traveling internationally in Canada for the day. Some banks require 2 weeks notice before international travel for using a card or exchanging currency. Learn tips on exchanging currency.

Phone: If you would like cell phone service and data in Canada, contact your cell phone provider.

Map: A map of the city can be downloaded using Google Maps or Apple Maps to use in offline mode. Your phone GPS function works in Canada to navigate the city map.

Metric system:The U.S. is one of the few countries that doesn’t use the metric system of measurements. You can familiarize yourself with distances in meters and temperature in Celsius in Canada by using a converter.
