Blackboard is UND's Learning Management System connecting students, faculty and staff both inside and outside of the classroom. It is used for courses, organizations, committees, departments and groups.

Blackboard Learn Ultra Course View (UCV) is a modern, intuitive, and personalized Blackboard Learn user experience. Learn Ultra is characterized by simplified workflows and an accessible, fully responsive design—making it easier than ever to teach and learn from any device.

UND is transitioning to Ultra and will have a full transition of courses for the Fall 2025 semester.  Instructors can now preview and convert their spring and summer 2025 courses to Ultra or can submit a Blackboard Ultra request.  All Blackboard organization sites will need to be transitioned to Ultra by December 2025.
