The University Counseling Center (UCC) is committed to supporting you mental health and well-being.
We offer confidential in-person and tele-mental health services for all UND students enrolled this semester. Whether you are feeling overwhelmed, looking for someone to talk with or interested in learning new coping strategies, we are here to help.
You don't have to go through challenges alone - UCC is here to walk alongside you.
Counseling Center Services
- One-on-one support for stress, anxiety, depression, relationships, or any personal concern.
- Telehealth - Remote Services offered in 43 states, States not currently eligible include: Massachusets, New York, Alaska, California, Guam, Hawaii, Iowa, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oregon, and Puerto Rico
- Sessions are most likely already covered by your student fees.
Services are typically scheduled every 2–3 weeks within our scope of practice.
- Guidance for partners looking to strengthen communication and resolve conflicts.
- Included in student fees when at least one partner is a currently enrolled student.
Sessions are generally every 2–3 weeks.
- Same-day appointments for students experiencing urgent emotional distress or safety concerns.
- If Crisis occurs after business hours or during clinic closures please call 911 or 988.
- Always available at no additional cost.
Crisis situations include:
- Major accidents
- Missing students
- Death
- Suicidal thoughts
- Situations involving self-harm
- Psychological trauma
- Sexual violence
- Free for UND Staff, Faculty and Student

- Learn skills topic-focused and interactive workshops.
- Green Bandanna for UND students, it is a mental health awareness and suicide prevention campaign
- Green Tag aligns with the Green Bandanna Project and is tailored specifically for staff and faculty
- Managing Stress available for students, staff, and faculty tips for reducing stress and increasing our productive energy.
- Substance Use available for staff, faculty and students. Identifies ways that substances may impact your mental health as well as other aspects of your life.

- These groups provide ongoing support on topics and can compliment individual therapy.

- Assessments for ADHD, learning concerns, or personality patterns to better understand strengths and challenges.
Some evaluations may include additional fees and are scheduled based on clinical availability.
- Specialized evaluations for North Dakota pilots as part of aviation requirements.
Separate payment required. Please submit your aviation evaluation payments online.

Emotional Support Letters
At this time, the University Counseling Center does not write Emotional Support Animal letters.
