Student Disability Resources
We work with students with disabilities to access the programs, services, and accommodations they need at UND.
Our role is to ensure students have equal opportunity to courses, housing, dining, and campus programs.Eligibility for Disability Accommodations
To be eligible for accommodations, a student must:
- Have a physical or mental impairment that substantially limits one or more major life activities such as learning, seeing, hearing, speaking, walking, or breathing. The presence of a disability alone does not automatically qualify an individual for accommodations.
- Experience functional limitations caused by the disability that significantly limit or prevent access to university programs, services, or facilities.
Criteria for Accommodations
- Determinations are made on a case-by-case basis through an interactive process with the student, including discussion and review of documentation.
- There must be a logical connection between the functional limitations of the disability and the requested accommodations.
