Housing Accommodations
In collaboration with UND Housing & Residence Life, Student Disability Resources works with students who may need disability accommodations in their living environment.
Students have the right to apply and seek accommodations at anytime, however, meetings to review requests have specific deadlines, and application submission by the priority deadlines allow time for review and coordination before the semester begins. If approved and space is available, accommodations will be arranged. A UND Housing Application should be submitted through Housing Self Service regardless of disability accommodation status.

Requesting Housing Accommodations
To request housing accommodations, students should follow the process outlined under 'Requesting Accommodations for the First Time at UND'.
Determinations are made on a case-by-case basis through an interactive process with the student, including discussion and review of documentation. There must be a logical connection between the functional limitations of the disability and the requested accommodations.
Disability accommodations are necessary to provide access to the living environment. Students who have been approved for housing accommodation(s) will receive a Notification of Disability Accommodations email, following the meeting with their Access Coordinator. The Housing Office will also receive a copy of this email. Housing accommodations are approved for one academic year. Determination of housing accommodations are subject to availability.
Student Disability Resources, UND Housing, and the student work collaboratively to arrange accommodations that meet the individual needs of the student.
The student should contact Student Disability Resources with any questions or concerns regarding the accommodation(s), implementation or reasonableness.
