To access session reports:
- Locate the desired session.
- Select the Session Options menu (three dots).
- Select View Reports.
Session Attendance Report
The Session Attendance report shows when participants joined and left a session. This information helps you review overall attendance and better understand how long students were present during your session.
Download Poll Results
Poll results can be downloaded for your sessions. This report includes each poll question along with participant responses. Poll reports are available for download only after a session has ended.

Reports can be downloaded or printed for record-keeping or review.
To print a report:
- Open the report you want to view.
- Select Printable.
- Then, print the page.
The printable version includes all participants within a selected date range. To export report data, select Export to CSV.
Use filters to narrow report results and make them easier to review.
- Filter by date range: From the Reports page, select Show reports in a range from the Show reports menu.
- Filter by attendee: Open a full report, select Search, and enter the attendee’s name.
Security Best Practices
Follow these best practices to help keep your Class for Web sessions secure.
Managing participant permissions at the start of a session helps you maintain focus and reduce disruptions. Before students join, review Session Settings and limit participant tools that are not needed for your activity.
- Audio: control participant ability to share audio.
- Video: control participant ability to share video.
- Chat: control participant ability to post chats. Alternatively, you can give participants chat permission while filtering out profanity in chat messages.
- Draw: limit participant's abilities to edit the whiteboard or share files.
When possible, have students join sessions directly from your Blackboard Ultra course. Sessions launched from the course room or scheduled within the course provide the most controlled and secure access for enrolled students.
If attendees can't join from a course, invitations are the next best thing.
Session invitations can be used when course access is not available, but they should be shared carefully. Review invitation options in Session Settings to ensure access is limited to intended participants.
Guest links allow anyone with the link to join a session, which can introduce security risks. If guest access is necessary, assign guests to the Participant role and apply restricted permissions to limit what they can do during the session.
