Reports and Security
View Session Reports
You can view reports from the list of sessions in your Class Collaborate tool.
- Find the session you want to see a report on, and select the Sessions options menu.
- Select View reports.
Session Attendance Report
The Session attendance report provides an overview of when attendees joined and left sessions. It also gives you an idea of how long attendees were present in the session on average.
Download Poll Results
Moderators, instructors, and administrators can download a session's Poll report. This report includes the poll question and how each attendee responded.
Export and Print Reports
Download a printable version of the full report.
- Find the report you want to download and select View report.
- Select Printable and print the page.
The printable version of the report includes all participants for the date range selected. If you filter your report by user and select Printable, the printable version still shows all users.
- Select Export to CSV to export the report.
- Select Printable and print the page.
Filter Reports
Filter your report list by date range and attendee.
- By date range: From the main Reports page, select Show Reports In A Range from the Show Reports menu.
- By attendee: From the full report page, select Search. Type the name of the attendee you are looking for.
Restrict Participant Permissions
Limited permissions stop disruptive participants from doing anything you don't want them to. Go to Session Settings and make sure these participant permissions are turned off at the beginning of your session:
- Audio: Participants can't use their audio during the session when the Share audio check box is clear.
- Video: Participants can't turn their video on during the session when the Share video check box is clear.
- Chat: Participants can't post chat messages during the session when the Post chat
messages check box is clear.
Optionally, you can filter out profanity in chat messages instead.
- Draw: Participants can't edit the whiteboard or shared files when the Draw on whiteboard and files check box is clear.
Have Everyone Join from a Course
Class Collaborate is integrated with your Blackboard course. You can use your course room or create new sessions in your course. The most secure way to join a session is from a course.
Limit Invitations from Session Settings
If attendees can't join from a course, invitations are the next best thing.
Restrict Guest Access
Guest links are public links that anybody who has the link can use. For example, if you send the link to a student and they share the link, anybody they share the link with can join, and so on. If you want to keep your session secure, don't use guest links. If you do decide to use guest links, make sure guests are assigned the participant role and restrict participant access.
Content Retention Schedule
The Class Collaborate retention schedule includes cloud recording of lecture capture including audio, visual, & caption files.
