Meetings
Join a Teams Meeting
Join a Microsoft Teams meeting from your calendar, or sign in as a guest on the web.
See the Join a Teams meeting help article and video for more information.
Manage Meetings
With Microsoft Teams, you can view, manage, and schedule meetings and appointments to keep your team on track.
See the Manage Meetings help articles or watch the How to manage meetings in Microsoft Teams video for more information.
Breakout Rooms
In all but the smallest of meetings, it can be hard to have open discussions and a meaningful exchange of ideas. Create breakout rooms to bring participants into small groups for lively conversation and brainstorming sessions.
See the Use breakout rooms in Teams meetings help article or watch the Master virtual breakout rooms in Microsoft Teams meetings video for more information.
Backgrounds
If you want to change what appears behind you in your video or call, you can either blur your background or replace it entirely with any image you want.
See the Change your background for a Teams meeting help article or watch the How to change your background in Microsoft Teams video for more information.
Sharing Screen
In Microsoft Teams, you can show your desktop, a specific app, a whiteboard, or a presentation in a meeting.
See the Show your screen during a meeting help article and video for more information.
Sharing PowerPoint and PPT Presenter Mode
If you need to present in an online meeting, show your PowerPoint slides right from a Microsoft Teams meeting.
Meeting attendees tend to be more focused and have a better experience when they see the presenter along with the presentation. A more interactive presenter also helps guide their audience along with visual cues while reducing information overload.
In addition to sharing content only through a screen or window in a Teams meeting, you also become an integral part of your presentation by using the interactive Standout presenter mode - streaming your video within your actual presentation and directly engaging your audience.
See the Share PowerPoint slides in a Teams meeting help article and video for information on sharing PowerPoint. See also the Create more engaging meetings with a new presenter mode help article for information on Presenter Mode.
Record a Meeting
Any Teams meeting or call can be recorded to capture audio, video, and screen sharing activity. The recording happens in the cloud, and it is saved so you can share it securely across your organization.
See the Record a meeting in Teams help article or watch the How to record a meeting in Microsoft Teams video for more information.
Meeting recordings will automatically be deleted by Microsoft after one year. The owner will receive an email message when a recording is deleted and the record is recoverable for 90 days.
