Pediatric Behavioral Sleep Intervention
Who is eligible for this intervention?
Your child may benefit from this intervention if they are 3-12 years old and have difficulties with their sleep. For example, they may:
- Have difficulty waking up in the morning.
- Get upset or have difficulty winding down at bedtime.
- Frequently get out of bed after bedtime.
- Are not receiving enough sleep at night.
- Are tired or sleepy during the day.
- And more!
Please contact us for more information and to discuss if this intervention is right for your child. Children may be eligible even if they are receiving other mental health services.
If your child is outside this age range or has other concerns, please feel free to contact us. They may still qualify! If not, we may be able to provide other treatment options or suggestions.
What does the intervention involve?
You will receive 4 weekly skills-based services to learn strategies to improve your child’s sleep. These strategies are those most likely to improve children’s sleep and are based on years of research.
Who attends the sessions?
At least one parent or caregiver must attend the sessions. Your child is welcome to join you but is not required to attend.
Where does the intervention take place?
We offer flexible scheduling and options to participate in person at the NPCC or via telehealth!
Who provides the services?
Counseling or clinical psychology students under the supervision of licensed psychologists. Because students are supervised, all interaction with patients is recorded in a secure HIPAA compliant vault.
