Survivors and Victims of Violence in North Dakota

Does someone in your life:

  • Threaten you, your children, family or pets?
  • Does or says things that scare you?
  • Control what you do, where you go or who you can see or talk to?
  • Embarrass you in front of others?
  • Stop you from connecting with your family, friends or community?
  • Make all decisions for you?
  • Stop you from going to work or school?
  • Control your finances or make you ask for money?
  • Threaten to die by suicide if you leave him/her/them?
  • Intimidate you with weapons?
  • Force you to have sex?
  • Shove you, slap you, strangle you, or hit you?
  • Act like abuse is no big deal, deny it, or like it's your fault?

If you answered "yes" to even one of these questions, you may be experiencing abuse or violence.
