On average, UND students receive $13,500 annually in financial aid assistance. Several types of financial aid can help bring down your college costs, including:
- Scholarships - merit-based awards that don't have to be repaid
- Grants - need-based awards that don't have to be repaid
- Loans - money you have to repay
Cost Benefits for Military-Affiliated Students
More than 1,800 students at UND use military benefits. We honor your dedication by offering a range of financial benefits designed to make your education more affordable.
- Affordable In-State Tuition for all Military Affiliates: Regardless of your state of legal residency, as an active-duty service member, veteran, National Guard or Reserve member, dependent, or contracted ROTC cadet, you're eligible for North Dakota resident tuition rates for all on-campus programs.
- Active-Duty Tuition Rate: If you're an active-duty undergraduate student using Federal Tuition Assistance, you can benefit from a reduced tuition rate of $250 per credit (This does not include Aerospace. See cost details.)
- VA Education Benefits: You may be eligible to receive funds for tuition and fees, books, flight programs, housing, and more through various VA education benefits.
- Scholarships for Military-Affiliated Students: UND offers scholarships specifically for active U.S. military service members, veterans, and their dependents
- Yellow Ribbon Program Participant: Participation in this program is part of UND’s larger mission to honor and assist military-affiliated students in achieving their educational and professional goals.
