Mandatory Training for Dining Services Employees
Listed below is the required training for all UND Dining Services employees.
- All Full-time, Part-time, and Student Employees have been assigned a specific Training Plan for the Position or Job Code that they have been hired to perform.
- It is your responsibility as an employee to complete all the training while at work that is assigned to you on an annual basis.
- The online training is delivered through Blackboard and Vector Solutions (formerly SafeColleges). Vector Solutions records your specific training in a transcript under your name and serves as the main source for mandatory online training.
- This training is important to both you as an employee and to all our guests within our facility.

Full-Time Classroom & Other Training
ServSafe Training
Your job description will determine if you are required to take the Managers ServSafe Course or the Food Handlers Course. This information is listed in your Job Description. If your job requires you to take this course, the certificate must be kept in the dining center you are working in for proof of certification.

In-Service Training
Dining Services holds in-service general session training for our staff in January, March and June/July sessions for our staff. These are professional development sessions to help you grow and improve as an employee of UND Dining Services.
