Committee Charge
The search committee is charged with conducting the search, evaluating candidates, conducting initial interviews, hosting finalists, and submitting an unranked list of acceptable candidates to the provost.
The committee, with assistance from the executive search firm, will ensure that all stakeholder groups have the opportunity to participate in the process and provide feedback on the finalists. That feedback will be documented, preserved, used by the committee in its deliberations, and included in the final report to the provost.
Search Timeline
- Oct. 1: Search is launched. Ad venues approved by UND are utilized.
- Oct. 10: Search committee meets.
- Week of Oct. 27: Follow-on committee meetings for rubric, and Zoom interview question development.
- Oct. – Dec.: Recruitment period.
- Jan. 1: Best consideration deadline for applications. Position remains open until filled.
- Jan 12: Committee identifies semifinalists for initial interviews.
- Feb. 3: Committee conducts Zoom interviews with semifinalists.
- Week of Mar. 2: On-campus interviews with finalists.
- Week of Mar. 9: Committee recommends candidates for provost's consideration.
- Late March: Appointment announced.
