Assessment
Assessment of student learning takes place in academic programs and co-curricular experiences.
Assessment reports are completed annually and focus on improving the quality of the educational programs based on the assessment of student learning.
Accreditation
UND is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and will complete the reaffirmation process again in 2033-34.
Numerous programs across campus are also accredited by relevant accrediting agencies.
Program Review
All academic programs (degrees and certificates) participate in a comprehensive program review process.
This program review occurs every 5-8 years and follows a standardized template for all programs, which includes student learning outcome assessment results and actions, faculty activities, and enrollment and retention trends.

Assessment is a cyclical process focused on the continuous improvement of student learning.
Important Deadlines
- August 1 - Annual Assessment Reports due for co-curricular experiences
- October 1 - Annual Assessment Reports due for academic degree programs and certificates
