Manage Media
Available Actions | Organize Media | Media Player
The Manage Media menu provides tools to help organize, store, and manage your content within the Video Platform. You can organize content into Media Channels, search and maintain collections, share or upload content, add captions to uploaded or platform-created content, and use the Video Editor.
Available Actions
Users can upload files through Manage Media. Uploaded files may be auto-captioned and accessed like those created with the Software Capture application or the Hardware Hub.

Publishing enables users to access media through the Media Channels, including All Channels, Shared Folders, and EnterpriseTube. Media can be unpublished from a Media Channel so that it is no longer visible to viewers. However, the content itself is not deleted from the content owner’s My Media collection.
Deleting media removes content from both your Media Collection and any associated locations where it is shared or published, sending it to the YuJa recycle bin. You can restore content from the recycle bin within 30 days of deletion.
For more help, see the Knowledge Base article on YuJa Media Management and Content Clean Up.
Content creators can take action in bulk with YuJa. Bulk upload, publish, share, move, and delete content for a more efficient streamlined process.
For more information on bulk item actions, consult the Using Bulk Media Management help article.
Branch Logic allows instructors to create interactive videos in which viewers choose what content plays next. Rather than watch videos in a prescribed order like a playlist, viewers are given a choice on what to watch next based on strategically placed points in a video's timeline, guiding them to alternate timestamps or different videos.
Branch Logic videos are best used for:
- Scenario-based learning
- Training simulations
- Decision-making exercises
- Knowledge checks
- Role-play or case studies
For more information on using Branch Logic in your videos, see the Using Branching Videos help article.
Organize Media
Organize your YuJa content to streamline uploading, sharing, and overall media management.
-
Manage Media (My Media): A private workspace where you can store, edit, and manage content prior to publishing or sharing it with students (Managing Media).
-
Media Channels: Shared space for distributing content. This is where students can access your content (Media Channel Overview and Using Media Channels video).
-
My Playlists: Curated collections of videos arranged in a specific order. When a playlist link is shared, viewers can access and watch all your included content in sequence (Using Media Playlists).
Media Player
While there are multiple ways of viewing content in YuJa, many users prefer to use the Media Player as their primary means of viewing content. The Media Player is fully accessible and offers customization options for both users and organizations. Users may
- manage media controls, video quality settings, and viewing preferences.
- access captions and customize their display
- read interactive transcripts as they view the video
- take personalized notes
- download attached resources and documents
