Student Summer Housing
We welcome students to summer housing on campus!
To live on campus for the summer, a student must meet the eligibility requirements. Housing options over the summer are limited to a select number of halls or buildings.
Student Summer Housing Eligibility
- Enroll in one of UND summer sessions.
- Enroll in Spring or Fall term and maintain continuous occupancy.
- Need to finish academic requirements for a UND program (e.g. internship, flight hours, research, etc).
- Have an affiliation with a UND department.
Apply
- Complete the Summer Housing Application in Housing Self Service.
- Review the correlating License Agreement
- Pay the $60 non-refundable application fee.

Summer Housing Options
Noren Hall
- Students will indicate the dates for which they are requesting housing.
- Students will have the option to be assigned to a shared or private bedroom.
- Students are required to have a meal plan. If a student does not self-select a meal plan after assignments are made, the 14 meals per week meal plan will be added as the default option.
- Current Noren Hall students applying for summer housing may be assigned to another room for the summer term.

Students must check out and move all belongings at the completion of the summer session in which they are enrolled. Belongings cannot be left in the summer assignment if a student is not attending a summer session.

Students will be billed for all days they remain in their summer assignment beyond the beginning or the end of the session(s) they choose. Students must cancel in writing with the Housing & Residence Life Office in order to receive a refund for any portion of the summertime period.
Summer Noren Hall Rates
A student’s initial billing for summer housing will be based on the dates indicated on the application. The rates are a guideline as actual amounts may vary.
Please note that Noren Hall is air-conditioned.
University Place
- Students will be assigned to a private bedroom for Summer 2022.
- Students are not required to have a meal plan but may purchase one of Student Summer Meal Plans.
- Only students requesting to stay for the full Summer Term will be considered eligible for University Place. Preference is given to students who have a University Place assignment for Spring 2022 or Fall 2022.
- Students must check out and move all belongings at the completion of the summer session in which they are enrolled. Belongings cannot be left in the summer assignment if a student is not attending a summer session.

560 Carleton Court
- Students will be assigned to a private bedroom for Summer 2022.
- Students are not required to have a meal plan but may purchase one of Student Summer Meal Plans.
- Only students requesting to stay for the full Summer Term will be considered eligible for 560 Carleton Court. Preference is given to students who have a 560 Carleton Court assignment for Spring 2022 or Fall 2022.
