There are 300+ student organizations at UND representing the spectrum of activity and interest.

However, if you don’t find a student organization that aligns with your interests and there are several people that feel the same, you have the opportunity to start your own student organization.

Student Organizations at the University of North Dakota are open to ALL currently enrolled students.

Steps to Start Your Own Organization

Don't see a current student club or organization that interests you? Want to start your own with a few like-minded friends? There are eight steps to become an official organization. The last day to form an organization is Wednesday September 17, 2025.

1. Attend one How To Form Session.
2. Submit Intent to Organize Form to the Student Involvement Office.
3. Attend Constitution Meeting. Set up a meeting with the Student Involvement & Parent Programs Staff.
4. Submit draft of constitution.
5. Obtain signatures and submit final constitution.
6. Register your organization. Registration opens August 1, 2025.
7. Advisor completes mandatory training. Verification form and Campus Security Authority training.
8. You're an official organization!
