Media Utilized

The Death Investigation Training courses are enduring materials which are accessible online, utilizing Blackboard education software. Enrollees participate electronically and can determine when and where to complete the activity. Media utilized for content delivery includes recorded presentations and reference material (Word, PDF and Excel documents).

Privacy & Confidentiality

It is expected that as professionals involved in death scene investigations, course enrollees will respect the confidential nature of the presented material. Enrollees must be employed in the field of death investigation, or pursuing employment/certification as a death investigator, and must be over the age of 18. Materials contained in these presentations may not be downloaded or shared in any manner.

Graphic Nature of Material

Given the nature of medicolegal death investigation, please be advised of the potentially graphic nature of the images that may be contained in these presentations.

You must verify that your computer equipment meets the minimum technical requirements needed for an online course. Technical requirements are subject to change without notice.

Although specific technical requirements may vary by online course or program, the following technical requirements are required for all online courses.

  • Internet Connection: DSL/Cable (recommended)
    • Note: A wireless or satellite connection should not be used for taking exams/quizzes and is not recommended for "Live" Web classes.

Course Extension

If you need more time to complete your course, you may purchase an extension. You may purchase a one-time, 3-month extension for each of the 6 regular courses or a one-time, 6-month extension for the bundle course.

Your extension will start from your original completion date. To purchase an extension, please complete the Extension Request Form.

Course Withdraw

To withdraw from our Death Investigation Training Program, you will need to submit a Withdrawal Request Form.
