Approved ES Courses Fall 2015 and Spring 2016
To use a course to meet your Essential Studies (ES) requirements, it must be on the approved list in the semester you take it. This is important because the curriculum may change. A course that was on the approved list in the past may have been modified to meet a different ES requirement or it could have been dropped.
Breadth of Knowledge
You must complete at least 9 credit hours in each of the following four Breadth of Knowledge areas.

Students must take ENGL 110 and ENGL 130; and 3 credits of oral communication.

Must be taken in a minimum of 2 departments and must include a 4-hour science course with a lab. Lab courses are designated with an L. Some of these courses are also approved to meet the Special Emphasis requirement in Quantitative Reasoning (Q).
