The Writing Center is a place for students, faculty, and staff to talk about their work in progress with a writing consultant.
Our writing consultants can assist you with developing skills and strategies for navigating your writing projects.
We are located in Merrifield Hall Room 12, and we also offer consultations for distance students and faculty.
Summer 2019 hours:
The UND Writing Center will be closed for the Summer 2019 semester starting June 28.
- Monday - Thursday: open at 10 a.m., please check schedule for daily hours.
Regular fall and spring semester hours:
The UND Writing Center will open for the Fall 2019 semester starting the second week of classes (September 2).
- Monday - Thursday: 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. - 9 p.m.
- Friday: 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.
The mission of the Writing Center is to serve as a resource on writing for the university community. We help people as they seek to improve their writing by offering positive, constructive responses to their work in any genre or discipline and at any stage of the writing process. We believe that the development of writing abilities is a life-long process, and that writing is a skill and art that enables people to create and communicate ideas.
