International Student Admissions

With over 1,000 international students from 88 nations, UND offers a variety of cultural, recreational and academic programs.

Located in Grand Forks, N.D., the University of North Dakota has over 225+ fields of study. Our school is the best school on the Northern Plains with world-recognized graduate and online programs.

We offer international students an experience like no other. You'll work with faculty that are experts in the field. You'll gain experience in research and hands-on learning. And, you'll become part of the UND family.

On campus, the UND International Center is here to help. They can answer questions you might have from academic support to student visas or American culture.

Paying for College

At UND, you'll find one of the best education values in the nation. It's our priority to help all students afford UND through financial aid, including scholarships and loans.

Tuition & Payment

Financial Aid

While many scholarships to U.S. schools seem to be only for U.S. citizens, there are some for which international and Canadian students are eligible. Contact the One-Stop Student Services and search the Scholarship Central.

Nygard Endowment Scholarship

Nygard Endowment Scholarship is available for two scholarships of $1,000 to students who meet the scholarship's Guidelines for Eligibility. Application and supplementary materials are due to the International Center on April 1.

Hanying Xu International Spirit Scholarship Endowment

Hanying Xu International Spirit Scholarship Endowment is available for one scholarship of $1,000 to students who meet the Hanying Xu Guidelines for Eligibility. Application and supplementary materials are due to the International Center on April 1.

International students should also check with their departments for additional academic scholarships.
