Child Welfare Human Service Zone Supervisor Training
Leading with Purpose: Building Trust, Accountability, and Culture in Child Welfare Supervision
Thursday, July 17th, 2025 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. in Bismarck, ND
We encourage all Human Service Zone Supervisors to attend.
Effective supervision in child welfare demands more than managing tasks—it requires
the ability to shape a team culture that is grounded in trust, psychological safety,
and clear expectations.
This interactive, day-long training is designed to help supervisors intentionally define the behaviors they want to cultivate on their teams—and those they need to address. Through parallel process, reflection, discussion, and practical strategies, participants will explore how to create environments where staff feel safe to speak up, take initiative, and grow professionally.
Supervisors will leave this session with concrete tools to foster a more positive and productive culture, give meaningful feedback with confidence, and navigate difficult conversations with clarity and courage. Whether you’re a new supervisor or a seasoned leader looking to strengthen your skills, this training will provide you with actionable techniques to lead with both compassion and accountability.
