Be loud and proud in your application for nationally competitive scholarships!
Developing the resume for national scholarships and fellowships is an act of courage, persistence, and love and the coordinator of Academic Support and Fellowship Opportunities is here to support students in that journey.
Why Apply for National Scholarships?
The University of North Dakota and other entities offer grants, loans, and other financial aid to assist students in covering their basic educational costs. A number of national and international organizations also offer scholarships and fellowships to develop knowledge and skills beyond the classroom setting or to study in highly competitive graduate programs.
National scholarships provide high-performing students exceptional opportunities to experience learning and academic training at the highest levels. For example, the Truman Scholarship gives its scholars up to $30,000 for graduate study in public-service fields, plus access to a 10-week summer internship in Washington. The Fulbright U.S. Student Program offers scholarships for students to study, conduct research and/or teach English for a full academic year abroad.
National Scholarship Awardees
Scholarship recipients have taught English in international classrooms, conducted research in nationally recognized labs, and interned with international organizations. Students awarded these competitive scholarships show outstanding leadership, depth of character, and dedication to a particular field of study.
