- Open to undergraduate sophomores with GPA above 3.0
- Applicants field of study should be disciplines related to NOAA mission in oceanic and atmospheric science, research, technology, or education, e.g., sciences, mathematic, engineering, computer and information sciences, and teacher education.

GERMAN ACADEMIC EXCHANGE SERVICE
Gilman International Scholarship Program
- Open to undergraduate students with financial need who will be studying abroad during the academic year.
- Applicants can be studying any field.
- Deadline: Depends on timing of study abroad experience.
- The award for Gilman International Scholarship Program is up to $5,000 for study abroad (must be a minimum of four weeks), with amount contingent on amount of Pell grant eligibility (international).
GILMAN INTERNATIONAL SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
Humanity in Action Fellowship
- Open to undergraduates and new graduates (sophomores to recent graduates).
- The award for Humanity in Action Fellowship is a funded travel experience in one of a number of cities, where students focus on intensive, collaborative study of a human rights issue related to minority groups, the Holocaust, and WWII; requires subsequent completion of an action project.
National Institute of Health Undergraduate Scholarships
- Open to undergraduates who are financially disadvantaged in an undergrad degree program.
- Applicants must be studying natural sciences – biomedical, behavioral, and social science research careers at NIH.

KNOWLES SCIENCE TEACHING FOUNDATION
Math for America
- Open to graduate students (apply as seniors and recent grads with a knowledge of math). This program represents a five year commitment which includes time to achieve the master’s degree in teaching as well as a post-degree teaching commitment.
- Applicants may study any field as long as person has a strong math background (18 college credits).
- Usual application deadline: February.
- The award for math for America is participants complete a master’s degree while teaching in NYC, Los Angeles, or San Diego and earning a full-time teacher’s salary
National Science Foundation
- Open to graduate students (in the early phases of study).

- The award for National Science Foundation is three years of support toward a research-based graduate degree.
National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship Program
- Open to seniors and beginning graduate students planning careers in research.
