Driving Directions for Orientation

Construction Alert: Alternate Routes May Be Needed

Due to a major road construction project, the intersection of North 42nd Street and Demers Avenue is closed. Because this is a main entryway to campus, visitors traveling to the Memorial Union for UND Orientation Days may need to use an alternate route.

• If you are traveling by Interstate 29, do not use Exit 140 during construction. Use Exit 141.
• If you are traveling on U.S. Highway 2 (Gateway Drive), use North Columbia Road to enter campus.
• GPS directions may not reflect current road closures or official detour routes.
• Please allow extra travel time.

Parking

• Please park in the UND Parking Ramp structure located at the corner of Columbia Road and Red Jarrett Way.
• You may park free of charge on Levels 2, 3, 4 or 5. You do not need a parking pass.

Driving Directions

From the South on Interstate-29

1. From I-29, turn off at Exit 141 to U.S. Hwy 2 (Gateway Drive).
   • Due to construction, do not use Exit 140.
2. Turn right (east) onto U.S. Hwy 2 (Gateway Drive).
3. Turn left (south) onto North Columbia Road.
4. Turn right (west) onto Red Jarrett Way.
5. Turn right (north) into the UND Parking Ramp. Park in Levels 2, 3, 4 or 5.

From the North on Interstate-29

1. From I-29, turn off at Exit 141 to U.S. Hwy 2 (Gateway Drive).

2. Turn left (east) onto U.S. Hwy 2 (Gateway Drive).
3. Turn left (south) onto North Columbia Road.
4. Turn right (west) onto Red Jarrett Way.

From the West on U.S. Highway 2 (Gateway Drive)

1. From U.S. Hwy 2 (eastbound), turn right (south) onto North Columbia Road.
2. Turn right (west) onto Red Jarrett Way.
3. Turn right (north) into the UND Parking Ramp. Park in Levels 2, 3, 4 or 5.

From the East on U.S. Highway 2 (Gateway Drive)

1. From U.S. Hwy 2 (westbound), turn left (south) onto North Columbia Road.
2. Turn right (west) onto Red Jarrett Way.
3. Turn right (north) into the UND Parking Ramp. Park in Levels 2, 3, 4 or 5.
