Spring Orientation
Learn what to expect during your first year at UND.
Spring Orientation is for freshmen and transfer students starting in the 2027 spring semester.
Orientation | Monday, Jan. 11, 2027
For Spring Orientation, new students and their parents/family members are invited to attend the event in person or through a virtual livestream.
At Spring Orientation, you'll:
- Learn what to expect during your first year at UND.
- Connect with other new UND students.
- Explore UND resources and services offered around campus.
- Receive your student ID card (if you submit your photo in advance).
- Visit with financial aid representatives.
- Get answers to all your questions.
Register for Spring Orientation Beginning Nov. 2, 2026, at 9 a.m.
Complete the following steps in order to register for classes and attend Spring Orientation.
If you haven't done so already, you must claim your NDUS account and pay your enrollment confirmation (freshmen only) at least two business days before you'll be able to complete Step 2 of this process. You can do this at any time after you've been admitted to UND.
The nonrefundable $200 enrollment confirmation deposit is a prepayment applied to tuition, fees or other charges on your UND bill. It is not an additional charge.
The UND Orientation Reservation System will open Monday, Nov. 2 at 9 a.m. (CST). We ask that all new freshmen and transfer students complete the orientation reservation form to indicate participation in the on-campus or virtual experience.
Within the UND Orientation Reservation System:
- Provide a comprehensive list of all college-level credits (dual credit, PSEO, CIS,
etc.); all AP, Cambridge IE, CLEP, IB, PLTW scores and/or your ACT/SAT scores.
- If you are bringing in credits, it is very important that you report all completed and in-progress classes.
- Your academic advisor will use this information to provide you with a list of your first semester classes. Failure to provide this information may lead to inaccuracies on your recommended class list.
- Academic advisors will reach out to students after they complete their reservation to help them register for spring classes.
If you've claimed your account, paid your enrollment confirmation deposit (freshmen only), and waited two business days after paying your deposit, and are unable to log in to the reservation system beginning Nov. 2, please contact us at 701.777.4200 or newstudents@UND.edu.
