Become a Marshal
Serve as a Marshal in at least six commencement ceremonies to receive a pink cord to wear at your own ceremony. Volunteering as a Marshal will count towards any service hours you may need.
While serving as a student marshal at commencement, you are representing the University of North Dakota. Participation is not guaranteed and is determined by Ceremonies and University Events. In order to be eligible to participate, students must not have reports regarding academic integrity concerns, have been found in violation of the Code of Student Life resulting in conduct probation, or be involved in a student conduct process that may result in a suspension. Student marshals are expected to conduct themselves in a professional manner, failure to do so may result in a student not being eligible to serve as a marshal.
