Scholarships, Grants, and Funding Opportunities
There are a variety of scholarships and grants that are available to military-connected UND students.
Below are several opportunities of which to apply. Application deadlines and requirements may change. Please check back for updated opportunities.

American Association of Petroleum Geologists (AAPG) Foundation Scholarship The AAPG Foundation awards scholarships to cover the cost of college and are available to both active U.S. military service members (including National Guard and Reserve) or veteran members separated from active military service who have been honorably discharged, and are entering or re-entering a post-secondary undergraduate program in a field of geoscience full time or part time. Eligibility also includes military dependents (spouses and children) for the following categories: deceased, disabled, active and veteran. |

UND has partnered with the Valor Partners Foundation to provide scholarships for dependents of deceased and 100% disabled veterans. Current and returning UND students can apply for the scholarship, along with many other scholarships, in Scholarship Central for the following academic year. |

American Legion Auxiliary Scholarships The Auxiliary supports various scholarship programs that benefit veterans, the descendants of veterans, and The American Legion Family. Brady Oberg Legacy Scholarship The Brady Oberg Legacy Scholarship is awarded to one combat military veteran junior, senior, or graduate student, pursuing a degree in Counseling or Counseling Psychology. Current and returning UND students can apply in Scholarship Central. |

Gene L. Kouba Memorial Scholarship Scholarship awarded by the ND Disabled American Veterans. Applications will be prioritized first for veterans with service‑connected disabilities, followed by those with non‑service‑connected disabilities eligible for VA pensions, then other veterans, and finally the spouses, unmarried surviving spouses, and unmarried children (up to age 26) of veterans. Please contact UND Veteran & Military Services for more information and the application form. |
