Scholarships and Fellowships
Scholarships are available to students studying abroad.
Most scholarship deadlines are similar to program deadlines but it is in your best interest to start planning your scholarship application early. Please note that some of these programs allow you to apply on your own, but many of them require you to apply through your university and to be officially endorsed or nominated by your university.
This process takes time, so plan ahead and connect with your resources! Including UND's National Scholarships and Fellowships and Writing Center.
For questions about the cost of study abroad visit Cost & Aid.

Most financial aid and scholarship money can be applied to study abroad, including scholarships that aren't originally intended for study abroad, such as tuition waivers, merit scholarships, and Cultural Diversity scholarships. Some scholarship conditions will require that you participate in a UND Exchange program.
For non-study abroad specific scholarships, you will need to connect directly with Financial Aid and/or the scholarship provider to ensure that award can be applied toward your study abroad experience.
