UND Graduation Survey

Let us know before you go. In our survey for new graduates, share your plans—whether you’re working, pursuing an advanced degree, or exploring other interests.

Those who complete the survey, and opt-in to share their email address, will be entered to win one of two $200 Amazon gift cards. A winner will be drawn two months after graduation.

  • The survey takes no more than 2 - 3 minutes to complete and will remain confidential. By completing this survey, you will help future students learn what to expect in their next chapter after graduation.
  • To participate, watch for an email on July 24 from UND Career Services, then click on the link.  We look forward to hearing from you!

Why take the survey?

You will help us learn the answers to questions that we are often asked about our graduates:

  • Do our students find full-time jobs after college?
  • Do they go on for an advanced degree?
  • Are they still defining their next steps?
  • What is the average salary a new graduate earns?
  • Do they stay in North Dakota?

UND Graduation Survey

Principal Investigator

  • Matthew Berosik, University Analytics & Planning, 701.777.2456, or matthew.berosik@UND.edu

Co-Investigator(s)

  • Nancy Nelson, UND Career Services, 701.777.4103, nancy.nelson@UND.edu
  • Chelsea Mellenthin, UND Career Services, 701.777.2115, chelsea.mellenthin@UND.edu

The purpose of this research study is to better understand the career goals and professional outcomes of University of North Dakota graduates, in addition to their career/employment experience while a student at UND. Participation in this survey will contribute to a better understanding of what students at UND do before and after graduation.

You will be asked a standardized series of questions to track post-graduation career outcomes. The survey utilizes skip logic to route students to specific follow-up questions based on their answers.

Students first confirm their academic profile.

  • Graduation date
  • Program of study
  • Personal email address

Students select their main post-graduation path.

  • Working
  • Continuing Education
  • Military
  • Volunteering
  • Still Seeking / Other

The survey will take approximately three minutes to complete; although it could take longer depending on your answers.

There are no known risks in participating in this survey nor are there any direct benefits to you. Data obtained may be beneficial to the University of North Dakota and could help plan programs and make student services better.

You will not receive compensation for your participation. Participants who complete the full survey will be entered into a random drawing for one of two gift cards.

All survey responses that we receive will be treated confidentially and stored on a secure server. The data will be accessible only to the investigators listed above, UND research analysts, and people who audit IRB processes at the University of North Dakota. If this research is published or posted on the University of North Dakota's website, no information that would identify you will be included and all results will be reported in aggregate form. However, given that the surveys can be completed from any computer (e.g., personal, work, school), we are unable to guarantee the security of the computer on which you choose to enter your responses. As a participant in our study, we want you to be aware that certain "key logging" software programs exist that can be used to track or capture data that you enter and/or websites that you visit.
