Obtaining/Replacing a U Card
Faculty, students, and staff should submit the appropriate online form to get an ID Card.
Ordering Your U Card
You will need to provide a government issued form of identification at the time an ID is requested. Acceptable forms of photo IDs include:
- Driver's License
- State Identification Card
- Military ID
- Tribal ID
New and Returning UND Students
All UND students will complete one of the following U Card Order forms.
New Student Transition Program Participants
If you will be participating in a New Student Transition Program, complete the form below. You will be required to enter the date you will attend the Transition Program. If the date has already passed, you will complete the "Returning/Transfer/Professional Student Order Form".
Transition/Orientation attendees in on-campus programs will have their U Card mailed if the order is recieved by 12pm CST on August 14. See "U Card Fees" below for cost information.
Students Not Attending Transition or Orientation Program
Returning students, Transfer students, and Graduate/Professional students who will not attend a Transition/Orientation Program will use the order form below. New Freshman students whose Transition/Orientation date has already passed will also use this form. Place your order by 12pm CST on August 14 to have your U Card mailed to you.

UND Staff, Faculty & Affiliates
Employees need to have an EMPL ID# before receiving a U Card. New employees must have completed at least one of the following before a U Card will be issued:
- Employment paperwork
- Person of Interest process
If you are ordering your first U Card as UND staff or faculty, there will be no charge.U Cards are issued per person and not per position held. Replacement cards cost $20.
Lost or Stolen U Card
If your U Card is missing, or is not in your posession, you must report it as lost, immediately, using the GET System. You will be responsible for all transactions made on your account until you have reported your missing U Card.
If you find your missing U Card (and you have not replaced it): Please contact One-Stop Student Services. This will assure the security of your account. If you have already purchased a replacement card, your old card will no longer be valid.
