SEVIS Registration
SEVIS registration is a process required of all F-1 and J-1 students. Registration must take place when you first arrive in the United States and once at the beginning of each semester. You must complete the SEVIS registration and Commitment to Maintain Status Form within 30 days of the start date listed on your I-20 or DS-2019.
Request to Activate Your SEVIS Record
If you have already arrived in the US, you can go ahead and request to have your SEVIS record activated. Click on one of the links below, depending on your visa status. Once you complete the form, the International Center will be notified of your request and will activate your SEVIS record. You will receive an email notification once your SEVIS record has been activated.
To complete this form, you will need:
- your I-20/DS-2019
- your passport
- a pdf, scan or a photograph of your visa (except Canadian students)
- a pdf, scan or a photograph of I-94
- your UND student ID number
In order to be processed, the request form must be completed in full. No answers can be blank.
