Travel Signatures
The travel signature is on the second or back page of your I-20/the lower right corner of your DS-2019. The travel signature can be no more than a year old to re-enter the United States, but we recommend that it be no more than six months old.
Request Updated Travel Signature
- To get an updated travel signature, you must be enrolled for the next term and your SEVIS record must be in Active status.
- To request an updated travel signature complete the Travel Signature Request Form.
- If you would prefer a hand written signature, you can either come to the International Center during walk-in hours or drop off your I-20 and an International Student Advisor will sign it and email you once it's ready to be picked up.
- Please ensure you allow one to three business days for processing.
If you forget to have your documents signed before you leave, or if you forget your I-20 in the United States, it is possible to submit the request and receive an updated document through email while you are outside of the US.
You'll need to make sure to receive the updated document and sign it before you attempt to re-enter the US.
