Travel Signatures

The travel signature is on the second or back page of your I-20/the lower right corner of your DS-2019. The travel signature can be no more than a year old to re-enter the United States, but we recommend that it be no more than six months old.

To get an updated travel signature, you must be enrolled for the next term and your SEVIS record must be in Active status.

If you meet these requirements you can bring your I-20 or DS-2019 to the International Center. Qualifying students who bring their documents in during walk-in hours (1:30-2:30pm) will be able to get an immediate signature.

For students unable to come during walk-in hours, you may drop of your documents at any time during business hours. You will receive an email when your document has been signed and is ready for pick up.

Please ensure you allow one to three business days for processing.

If you forget to have your documents signed before you leave, or if you forget your I-20 in the United States, it is possible to have new documents shipped to you at your expense. You will need to contact an International Student Advisor to request a new I-20 or DS-2019.
