Polling software allows you to gather participant feedback, test knowledge, or collect opinions during your meeting or class session. Using polling software can significantly increase classroom interaction by enabling hosts to assess participant knowledge, keep participants engaged, provide immediate feedback, and encourage all to participate.
Currently, UND provides access to three different polling tools: Vevox, Zoom, and Microsoft Teams. While all three provide polling solutions, Vevox offers the most robust polling options with the greatest built-in accessibility features.
Vevox
Vevox polling software supports live polling, self-paced surveys and quizzes, and live Q&A sessions to boost participant engagement. Getting started in Vevox is as simple as going to the Vevox login page and selecting "Login with SSO." By loggin in with your NDUS identifier (firstname.lastname), you will have access to the full suite of tools that Vevox offers. Vevox allows up to 5,000 concurrent participants in a given session, making it suitable for classes, meetings, committees, conferences, or other large events.

Detailed Support Guidance
Zoom
Poll participants using single-choice or multiple-choice questions. Polls in Zoom can be launched live and set to collect responses anonymously if desired. After the meeting, you can download a detailed report of all poll results.
Advanced Polling and Quizzing for Meetings
Advanced Polling enhances the standard polling feature by adding more question types, such as matching, ranked choice, short answer, and long answer. You can also assign correct answers to turn your poll into a quiz for knowledge checks or assessments. Polls can be conducted anonymously, and detailed reports showing each participant's responses and timestamps are available after the session.

Microsoft Teams
Polling is also available in Microsoft Teams. Use Microsoft Forms to create polls in advance, and then launch them during a Teams meeting so participants can respond in real time.
