From time to time, you might have questions or need technical assistance. Extended hours of technical support are provided for all of our online students through "Live Chat."
If you take an online course, you should feel comfortable with technology and online learning; and have access to the appropriate equipment.
Before enrolling in an online course, ask yourself if you can:

Although specific technical requirements may vary by online course or program, the following general technical requirements are required for all online courses.
For more specific information about technical requirements, refer to the UND Center for Instructional & Learning Technologies (CILT), your course syllabus (available approximately 1 week prior to your course start date), or contact your instructor.
If your online class meets "live" over the Internet at a set day and time, you may need a Web camera or stereo headset/microphone. Refer to your instructor, course syllabus, or the UND Center for Instructional & Learning Technologies (CILT) for recommendations.
Please note that wireless/satellite Internet connections are not recommended for "live" Web classes.
If you are a student in the Distance Engineering Degree Program (DEDP) or Instructional Design & Technology (IDT) program, you may need additional or different technologies.
