Operations & Supply Chain Management
Part of the UND Department of Management, the operations & supply chain management bachelor’s degree will provide you with an understanding of supply chains and the operations function within business, government and non-profit organizations.
Within UND’s operations & supply chain management major, you'll develop the ability to analyze problems and make decisions that lead to cost-effective acquisition of products and services, efficient use of people, technology and materials, as well as effective product and service delivery. This is an essential skill-set for many firms because their success depends upon their ability to work with suppliers, distributors, customers, intermediaries and service providers worldwide. Developing a firm’s supply chain network, including the relationships and technology necessary to have the network operate and adapt efficiently, can be the difference between success and failure.
The B.B.A. with a major in operations & supply chain management is a specialized major with selective curriculum. You’ll study a broad range of topics in relation to business and its processes such as:

- Operations Management
- Quantitative Methods
- Supplier Relationship Management
- Supply Chain Management
Most classes are offered in recently remodeled, state-of-the-art rooms that allow guest speakers to use video conferencing and “visit” the class from anywhere in the world.

While not required, internships are always encouraged. Gaining professional experience while in school enables you to implement principles and concepts you’re learning into a real business atmosphere and see for yourself how they work. The Management department provides a dedicated internship/co-op director/coordinator who assists students in finding and securing both co-op and, or internship opportunities.
This major will provide you with the quantitative and conceptual tools to immediately help firms manage their operations and supply chains. You’ll graduate with the knowledge and skills to design, implement and control supply chains efficiently.
